Key findings
- The median remote job closes within 30 days of posting. We can measure this because every listing is checked daily and delisted the day it closes — 2,795 jobs came down in the last 30 days alone (~26% of the board turning over monthly). Job boards that don't verify daily are showing you a market that has already moved on.
- Only 35.5% of remote listings publish a salary, despite transparency laws — the majority of remote hiring still happens salary-blind.
- 49.9% of remote jobs hire worldwide; the rest restrict by country or region, so "remote" only means "remote for some" about half the time.
- The median advertised remote salary is $155,000 across USD listings that publish pay — skewed toward the senior technical and go-to-market roles most likely to disclose.

Methodology
Every statistic on this page is computed directly from RemoteOnly's live dataset: remote job listings synced daily from employers' own applicant-tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and others) and re-verified every day — a listing that closes at the source is removed the same day. "Median days open" measures posting-to-delisting time across jobs closed in the trailing 30 days. Salary figures use only salaries employers actually published, never estimates.
